  Anime is 11\/10 btw. Cute as hell.. only buy this if you absolutely love everything about little witches. Just played this game for roughly 2 hours and here are my thoughts.
  
  The game is your typical fetch quest + hack and slash hybrid adventure game. The game does showcase some positives but some glaring negatives as follows:
  
  Positives:
  
  1) Game looks incredibly faithful to the anime. Lots of character animations/emotions along with solid visuals.
  2) EVERYTHING is voice acted. Even all the minor side characters are too. The audio quality is top notch for the characters and in the music department.
  3) The story and character interactions are very involving. It feels like one big episode of little witch academia.
  4) Custom cutscene animations created by Trigger. Huge plus seeing the authentic anime style brought to life in the game.
  
  Now unfortunately for the negatives:
  
  1) The weakest part of the game...the combat. This is an extremely unpolished, watered down beat em up. The design is very plain and the enemies and your allies have the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI. The controls are a bit unrefined and the combo/attack variety is very limited. You cannot cancel or chain into other buttons. Also, hearing the same voices again and again for the attacks is very annoying. Get tired of hearing the same line so profusely. They should of varied the dialogue more.
  2) Exploration is very cumbersome with a confusing map system. The onscreen map doesn't orient right with how the overall map of Luna Nova shows in the menu so you can end up getting lost or confused. The menu system is very bloated and unorganized. You run around WAY TOO MUCH. Lot of the game is you running around from one character to the next doing the same type of quest over and over and over. It gets extremely repetitive.
  3) No English voice overs. Not a huge deal breaker but with the delay in release from the Japanese version (6 months, why?), I was expecting this to be implemented as the dub of the anime is quite good.
  
  While I am a huge Little Witch Academia fan, I really cannot recommend this game at the $40 price tag. When the base gameplay (combat and exploration) are very tedious, unvaried and limited with serious polish issues plague the game's overall amazing presentation, you're definitely in for a bumpy ride. Only recommend this for the most die hard Little Witch fans. If this game was $20, I'd be more willing to snag it, but at $40 it's just not worth the experience. I honestly was expecting gameplay on the level of Dragon's Crown but with so many better hack and slash games out there, tread carefully on this game. If you can tolerate these annoyances, there is a lot of story and charm to behold within.
  
  Overall Score: 6/10.. Combat Gameplay is pretty lame and confusing at the beggining.
  Buy only if you have seen and enjoyed the OVAs and the main series.
  The hole RPG element is just a lot of fetch quests and also clear dungeons.
  On the plus side if you unlock the ultimate attacks from each character they deal a lot of damage, on the backdraw is that they are long refreshing rates.
  Buy only if you like the characters or the series. It's a shameless cashgrab for an extented episode.
  But enjoyable if you love Akko, sucy, or Lotte.. There's some good stuff here, and if you're a fan of the show it's super fun to run around Luna Nova and interact with all of the characters...
  
  BUT so much of the actual game is horribly designed: tedious dungeon crawls, awful bosses (omg that Ice Dragon...) and a really frustrating end-game that involves lots of grinding. Fun for a while, but ultimately frustrating.. Excellent action game,this is going to be a great experience even if you haven't watched the anime but if you did you are going to love this game even more.
